At the pier forecourt of Pelzerhaken — a district of the town Neustadt in Holstein on the Lübeck Bay — the Foodtruck Festival invites you for three days to enjoy international street food variety right on the beach. Over fifteen food trucks offer burgers, pizza, Asian and Mexican specialties, crêpes, lángos, and ice cream. Plus music, vegetarian and vegan options, free admission. Family-friendly and perfectly situated on the summer line of the Lübeck Bay in the state of Schleswig-Holstein, district Ostholstein.

Getting There

By car via the A1 (exit Neustadt-Mitte or Neustadt-Pelzerhaken), then Strandallee directly to the pier. Parking spaces around Pelzerhaken. By train to Neustadt in Holstein, from there take the Strandbus or a taxi (approx. 5 km).

Street Food with Baltic Sea Views

Pelzerhaken is a district of the town Neustadt in Holstein in the Ostholstein district, located directly on the Baltic Sea, between Lübeck Bay and Fehmarn. The pier forecourt is the main access to the beach and, during high summer, a meeting point for families from the entire region. For three August days, the square transforms into the Foodtruck Festival — one of the established street food events on the North German Baltic Sea coast.

FS-Musikevents (a local organizer from the Ostholstein district) organizes the event with good judgment: not oversized, but pleasantly structured. Families find seating, children get ice cream and crêpes, adults enjoy an Aperol before sunset.

Free admission. The food trucks charge individually, with dishes typically costing €8–€14. For those traveling to the Lübeck Bay during the holidays, this is one of the most uncomplicated and unique food formats of the summer between Travemünde and Kellenhusen.
