A Sunday for all of Oslebshausen and Gröpelingen
The Oslebshauser Dorffest has been a fixture in Bremen West for years. Here you meet neighbours, local associations, international dance groups, and local musicians – all on a relaxed Sunday when the whole neighbourhood comes together. The festival is organised by Gröpelingen Marketing e.V., which, together with the Bürgerhaus Oslebshausen and many partners, ensures a colourful programme.
New Venue 2026: Sander Center
In 2026, the Dorffest enters a new chapter. For the first time, the event will take place in and around the Sander Center at Schragestraße 4 – right in the middle of Oslebshausen, easily accessible via the A27 Oslebshausen exit and the nearby Bremen-Oslebshausen train station. The concept has been further developed for this: you'll experience a more compact, modern festival area with a stage programme, hands-on activities for families, and many local stalls.
Stage, Hands-on Activities, and Sunday Shopping
The main stage alternates between music and dance performances – international folklore groups, choirs, and bands from Gröpelingen and Bremen provide the atmosphere. For children and families, there are numerous hands-on stations, from creative workshops to small sports activities. The Sunday shopping at the Sander Center also allows you to browse the shops at your leisure while the festival is on outside.
Culinary Offerings
The gastronomic offer reflects the cultural diversity of Gröpelingen: from classic bratwurst and waffles to specialities from Turkey, Bulgaria, and the Middle East, everything is available. Many stalls are run by associations and initiatives from the neighbourhood – the proceeds flow directly back into community work.
A Neighbourhood Festival with Tradition
Oslebshausen is a district with a long industrial history and one of Bremen's most diverse neighbourhoods. The Dorffest makes this diversity visible and celebrates the togetherness of the people living here. In even-numbered years, the Oslebshauser Dorffest takes place; in odd-numbered years, the Gröpelinger Sommer on Lindenhofstraße takes over this role – both are absolute must-attend events if you want to get to know Bremen West.

Premiere at the Sander Center
After years at the Grambke Oslebshausen sports club, the Oslebshauser Dorffest is moving to the Sander Center for the first time in 2026. The new location at Schragestraße 4 in 28239 Bremen offers a perfect mix of covered and open spaces – ideal for a family festival that doesn't depend on the weather.
2026 Programme
From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., experience a varied stage programme with music, dance, and show acts from Bremen West. Associations and initiatives from Gröpelingen present themselves with hands-on stands, small workshops, and information offers. For children, there are play and craft activities; for adults, there is socialising, conversation, and good food.
Sunday Shopping
In parallel with the Dorffest, the shops in the Sander Center are open. Over 30 stores – from fashion chains to drugstores and specialist shops – are participating. This allows you to combine the festival programme with a relaxed shopping trip.
Getting there and Info
The Sander Center is optimally accessible via the A27 Oslebshausen exit and the Bremen-Oslebshausen train station. Around 2,000 free parking spaces are available. Admission is free.
Programme Oslebshauser Dorffest 2026
The Oslebshauser Dorffest 2026 will take place for the first time on Sunday, June 7, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Sander Center on Schragestrasse 4 (28239 Bremen). The organiser is Gröpelingen Marketing e.V.; the concept has been further developed for the new location – more compact, weather-proof, and more accessible. Preparations have been underway since early February 2026 in open meetings at the Phoenix Cafe of the Sander Center.
Stage Programme (11 AM–5 PM)
- Music, dance, and show acts from Bremen West
- Dance and music groups from the over 100 nations living in Gröpelingen – as in previous years, including Bulgarian, Mexican, Cuban ensembles, and Bremen theatre collectives
- Performances will be selected from the applications received by Gröpelingen Marketing
Hands-on and Association Mile
- Associations and initiatives from Gröpelingen with information stands, workshops, and hands-on activities
- Play and craft activities for children
- International gastronomy reflecting the diverse cultures of the neighbourhood
Sunday Shopping
In parallel, the over 30 shops in the Sander Center are open – from fashion chains to drugstores and specialist shops. The complete stage programme with all acts will be published shortly before the event at groepelingen.de/events.
