The Oktoberfest of the Kolpingkapelle Westerngrund is one of the largest club festivals in the hintere Kahlgrund and attracts visitors for four days every October to the Spessart village of Westerngrund. In the large festival tent on the festival grounds, party bands from Austria and Germany alternate with traditional brass music. Highlights include the traditional beer tapping on Saturday, the all-day "Day of Brass Music" on Sunday with guest bands and free admission, and the cozy end of the festival on Monday with a Frühschoppen (morning pint), free beer hour, and family program. The festival is organized by the Kolpingkapelle Westerngrund, the Westerngründer Musikanten.

For the 26th time, the Kolpingkapelle Westerngrund invites you to its traditional Oktoberfest. From Friday, October 9, to Monday, October 12, 2026, the festival tent on the festival grounds will be the scene of celebration. The kick-off on Friday features AlpenLausa and the Q6 Band. Saturday follows with the official opening and beer tapping, followed by AlpenLausa and i-DÜPFERL. Sunday begins with a festival service and Frühschoppen brass music and is dedicated all day to the "Day of Brass Music" with guest bands and free admission; in the evening, Rhythm 'n' Blech will perform. Getting There

The festival grounds are located in Westerngrund in the Aschaffenburg district. By car via the A45 (exit Alzenau) or via Schöllkrippen into the hintere Kahlgrund. By train via the Kahlgrundbahn to Schöllkrippen, then continue by bus or taxi to Westerngrund.

Admission and Tickets

Admission to the evening events with party bands costs around 20 Euros per ticket; children and adolescents under 14 years of age have free admission. The "Day of Brass Music" on Sunday and the festival conclusion on Monday evening are free of charge. Advance ticket sales around the end of July.

Entry and Youth Protection
