BEEM Festival Westerngrund

Open Air at the Huckelheim Barbecue Hut

The BEEM Festival takes place on the festival grounds at the Westerngrund Barbecue Hut in the Huckelheim district (Hufeisenstraße 16). Westerngrund is located in the Aschaffenburg district, at the transition from the Spessart to the Untermain region. The grounds are operated by Beem Festival und Freizeit e. V., which organizes the festival on a volunteer basis.

Program: Indie, Punk, and Metal

Over three days, around ten bands from the indie, punk rock, hardcore, and metal genres are booked. Friday typically starts loud and intense with energetic acts, while Saturday offers danceable punk and rock with honest lyrics. On Sunday, the festival switches to "Frühschoppen" mode: Bavarian brass band music, regional artists, and a relaxed village fête atmosphere.

Free Admission – But Solidarity is Requested

Admission is free on all three days. The BEEM Festival sees itself as a non-commercial underground festival, sustained by catering, club memberships, donations, and federal funding. Those who wish to celebrate are encouraged to consume at the beer and food stands or to donate – this keeps the festival alive.

Funding by Initiative Musik

In 2025, the BEEM Festival received funding of €7,603 from the festival fund of Initiative Musik gGmbH. Initiative Musik is supported by the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media and assists non-commercial festivals in Germany's independent music scene. Similar funding is also requested or planned for 2026.
