Hof Dohrendorf

The venue is the riding hall of Hof Dohrendorf in Niendorf — a spacious hall that is converted into a festival hall. With beer garden tables and benches, Maypole decorations, and a stage, the typical Wiesn atmosphere is recreated. The not-too-large hall (typical for village festivals) allows for closer mingling than would ever be possible in the large Munich festival tents.

Niendorf bei Berkenthin (with the official suffix "bei Berkenthin" to distinguish it from other Niendorfs in Northern Germany) is a small community in the Amt Berkenthin, District of Herzogtum Lauenburg, in the Lauenburg Geest. A rural area with an active club life — fire brigade, riding club, marksmen's club form the social backbone. The Oktoberfest is the highlight of late summer in the village.
