Regional trade fair with a Volksfest character in the Larsheck business park of the Dierdorf municipality
Since the 1990s, the Larsheck business park in Kleinmaischeid has developed into one of the most important economic locations in the Dierdorf municipality. Companies from metal construction, logistics, food production, construction, energy technology, IT, and many service sectors are located here. The Gewerbeparkfest makes this otherwise rather invisible economic landscape publicly accessible once a year.
Around 50 exhibitors set up their stands, machines, vehicles, and presentations on the business park grounds during the festival weekend. Visitors can learn about career paths, experience live demonstrations (e.g., welding, wood processing, lifting technology), approach companies, and inquire about internships, apprenticeships, or job openings. Apprentices present their work and are available as contact persons — an important aspect of regional skilled labor retention.
A trade fair that is solely focused on exhibitors would not attract families. The organizer therefore relies on a clear supporting program: hands-on activities for children, bouncy castles, food and drink stands from regional providers, and occasional live music or small demonstrations. This creates a mix that combines a business purpose with a Volksfest character.
For the exhibiting companies, the festival is also an important networking platform: among themselves, with representatives of the municipality, the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK), and potential business partners. The Dierdorf municipality actively positions itself with the festival as a business-friendly location in northern Rhineland-Palatinate.
According to the Dierdorf municipality, the 2026 edition continues the successful concept of previous years. The festival also serves to recruit employees in a region that, like many rural areas, faces demographic challenges.
The exact program for 2026 will be published by the organizers in the weeks leading up to the festival weekend. The structure follows the proven cornerstones of previous years:
