Autumn at Tibarg
When the leaves fall at the end of September, the Tibarg — the central shopping street of the Niendorf district in Eimsbüttel — transforms into a farmers' market with an attached wine village. Three days of festivities with regional producers, vintners from Germany, and a family program. The organizer is the Arbeitsgemeinschaft Tibarg e.V.
Wine Village and Farmers' Market
In the wine village, vintners and wine merchants present their products — Riesling, Spätburgunder, Sekt (sparkling wine) from growing regions like Mosel, Pfalz, Rheinhessen, and Nahe. The farmers' market around Niendorf's village square offers cheese variations, tarte flambée, and specialties from regional producers.
Children's Program and Tradition
For children, there's a straw bouncy castle, pumpkin carving, and a pedal tractor course. On Saturday and Sunday, stagecoach rides are on the program. Live music in the wine village in the evening.
Sunday Shopping
On Sunday, it's also Sunday shopping at Tibarg — shops are open from 1 PM to 6 PM. This merges the festival with the identity of the shopping street.
Niendorf — Northern Eimsbüttel
Niendorf is located in the north of the Eimsbüttel district — formerly an independent municipality, now part of Hamburg. Tibarg is the central shopping mile, and Tibarg Center is the most important mall. With the Tibarg Festival in spring and the Wine Festival in autumn, there are two annual district highlights. District: Niendorf.
