Three days of street festival in Hamburg-Niendorf with live music, fireworks, beach club, and flea market on Sunday
When the beach club bar rolls onto the Tibarg in early July, the pavilion at the market square is set up, and the main stage takes its position in the parking lot at Süd-Tibarg, then the Tibargfest is just around the corner. For three days, the Tibarg transforms into the most visited public space in Hamburg's Niendorf district – with a program running from Friday afternoon to Sunday evening.
The main stage in the Süd-Tibarg parking lot is the musical heart of the festival: Bands and solo artists perform on all three days – cover bands, Schlager, pop-rock, and occasional regional acts. A second stage at Niendorfer Marktplatz hosts acoustic acts, school bands, and the stage program of local clubs. The detailed lineup is usually published in spring 2026.
The visual highlight occurs on Saturday evening: A large fireworks display rises over the Tibarg, illuminating the night sky on the eastern border of the Walddörfer. Organizers and showmen coordinate the spectacle every year with the Hamburg professional fire brigade; the Eimsbüttel district has been involved in the approval process for years.
Between the stages, you'll find a beach club with sand, loungers, and cocktails, an area with a children's carousel, face painting stations, a bouncy castle, and craft activities, as well as a long stretch of club and sales stands. On Sunday, July 5th, the large flea market is added: From 9:00 AM, the Tibarg transforms into a bargain hunter's mile, with stand fees of €15 per running meter (registration via Cordula Stein Events).
Niendorf is located in the north of the Eimsbüttel district with around 41,000 inhabitants – making it one of Hamburg's largest districts. The Tibarg is the central shopping and strolling address in the district, and Tibarg Center is the most important local mall. The Tibargfest has been the highlight of Niendorf's event calendar for years – the opposite Niendorfer Markt and the Tibarg Wine Festival in autumn flank the program.
The 2026 edition continues the successful format: three days of open-air programming between Tibarg Center and Niendorfer Marktplatz, a weekend before the start of the Hamburg school holidays. The organizers have confirmed the dates (July 3rd and 4th, 2026, main program, July 5th, flea market); the full stage program with bands and performance times is usually published in May/June 2026.
As in previous years, organizers and local media expect between 80,000 and 100,000 visitors over the three days – making the Tibargfest one of Hamburg's largest district festivals.
