Kärwa in the Zenngrund

The Kirchweih Neuhof an der Zenn – the "Neuhofer Kärwa" – is one of the fixed traditional events in the market town of Neuhof an der Zenn in the Middle Franconian district of Neustadt an der Aisch-Bad Windsheim. The town is picturesquely located in the Zenngrund between Fürth and Bad Windsheim. For several days, clubs and the village community celebrate a typical Franconian Kirchweih.

Franconian Kirchweih Customs

The Neuhofer Kärwa includes the classic elements of a Middle Franconian Kirchweih: the erection of the decorated Kirchweihbaum, festival activities with catering by the clubs, amusement rides and stalls by showmen, as well as music and dancing.

Tradition with Districts

In addition to the main Kirchweih in Neuhof, the district of Oberfeldbrecht also celebrates its own Kirchweih in September. The Neuhofer Kärwa combines a church patronal festival with vibrant festival culture and is an attraction for the entire Zenngrund region.
