Unlike the city center Christmas markets that run for weeks (Meppen, Lingen), the Papenburg market concentrates on two Advent weekends:

• 2nd Advent Weekend: December 4th — 6th, 2026
• 3rd Advent Weekend: December 11th — 13th, 2026

This compact duration has a special appeal: the market remains a concentrated experience, not a continuous run, but a special date in the calendar. Those who want to visit must choose one of the two weekends — making the visit a deliberate excursion.
