Bürgergilde Munster e.V.

The Bürgergilde Munster e.V. is one of the most traditional marksmen's clubs in the Heide municipality of Munster in the Heidekreis. Club life shapes social events throughout the year with a dense sequence of occasions: Winter Ball in January, Easter bonfire in April, Schützenfest (marksmen's festival) and Volksfest (folk festival) in May, and further events in autumn.

Winter Ball as Season Opener

The Winter Ball at the beginning of the year is the social start to the club season. After the Christmas break, members come together again in a larger group for the first time. Festive attire, an elegant setting, and a multi-course menu characterize the evening. Dance music by a live band is the focus.

Festive Meal and Dance

The festive meal typically includes an appetizer, a main course, and a dessert with a regional touch. Afterwards, a live dance band takes over the musical program. Standard dances, Latin American rhythms, and contemporary hits alternate. The dance floor is lively throughout the evening.

Honors

During the Winter Ball, long-standing members are honored – for 25, 40, or 50 years of membership. These ceremonies are a central element of club culture and underscore the importance of tradition.
