A week of music, art, wellness, and electronic dance nights by the Preddöhler Stausee
The New Healing Festival breaks the classic weekend festival format and spans an entire week. From August 17th to 23rd, 2026, it transforms the shore of the Preddöhler Stausee in the northern Brandenburg Prignitz into a place where you can find peace during the day and hit the dance floor at night. The concept is clear: weekdays are dedicated to mindfulness — yoga, meditation, philosophy, wellness; the weekends are dedicated to electronic music, with DJs spinning the finest house, techno, and downtempo.
From Monday to Thursday, a dense wellness and educational program sets the framework: morning yoga by the lake, meditation sessions, workshops on somatic practices, philosophy lectures, sound galleries, and breathwork. The festival sees itself not as a pure wellness retreat series, but as a collective experience — you move within a community that comes together for a week, eats together, meditates together, dances together.
On the weekend days, the rhythm changes: the floors by the water open, and national and international DJs play on the stages late into the night. The musical spectrum remains within the broad electronic spectrum: from melodic house to organic downtempo sets to hypnotic Berlin techno. The setup utilizes the natural acoustics of the water landscape and is one of Brandenburg's most unusual festival locations.
A dedicated family area with a children's program has been part of the concept from the beginning — the festival is explicitly designed to be family-friendly. In addition, art installations, light art works, and participatory performances shape the venue. Some works are created in open workshops, others travel with the international New Healing community.
The venue is the Preddöhler Stausee in the municipality of Kümmernitztal, a place in the Prignitz district in the far northwest of Brandenburg. The region is one of the most sparsely populated areas in Germany — and that's precisely what makes it attractive: no light pollution, clear starry nights, the water right in front of the dance floor, and nothing but forest, fields, and silence all around. A backdrop that almost literally embodies the festival's concept — healing through nature and sound.
The 2026 edition runs from Monday, August 17th, to Sunday, August 23rd. Opening on arrival day at 6 PM.
