Traditional three-day village gathering on Martinsplatz in the Härtsfeld
Nattheim is a municipality of around 6,000 inhabitants in the Heidenheim district (state of Baden-Württemberg) in the Härtsfeld – a plateau of the eastern Swabian Jura between Heidenheim and Aalen. The Härtsfeld is a distinct cultural landscape with its own customs, dialect nuances, and a strong sense of community through its clubs. A 'Hocketse' or 'Hock' is the typical Swabian form of summer open-air gathering – and the Nattheimer Breamahock is the annual major event celebrating this tradition.
The festival grounds are the central Martinsplatz at Neresheimer Straße 2 – Nattheim's village center. For three days, it hosts marquees, a stage, catering stands, and a family area. The event is organized by the Nattheim municipal administration in cooperation with local clubs – the music association, sports club, fire department, marksmen's club, and others take turns managing stalls, setup and takedown, catering, and stage presentations.
Various program items run over the three festival days:
Nattheim's event calendar also includes the Fleinheimer Dorffest (June 20–21, 2026) in the Fleinheim district, as well as the subsequent Breamahock After-Show Party as additional programming – indicating that Nattheim in the Härtsfeld maintains a vibrant festival culture with several highlights spread throughout the year.
The Nattheimer Breamahock 2026 follows the proven three-day festival format. It kicks off on Friday, July 3, 2026, in the evening with the opening and stage program. Saturday, July 4, 2026, the festival runs all day from afternoon until late into the night – featuring live music from regional bands and music associations, as well as catering by the Nattheim clubs. Sunday, July 5, 2026, begins with the traditional 'Frühschoppen' with brass music, followed by a family day with children's activities and the festival winding down in the late afternoon.
Specific band performances and program details for 2026 will be announced in advance by the Nattheim municipal administration on nattheim.de and in the local Härtsfeld press.
