Flea market with Elbe view and street food at Cruise Center Altona
There are many flea markets in Hamburg, but few with this backdrop: The Nachtflohmarkt at Cruise Center Altona takes place on the huge car park directly below the Altona Balcony. In the background, the Elbe river, cruise ships at the pier, Fischmarkt brick architecture, sunset over Steinwerder – a setting that makes even seasoned Hamburgers pause for a moment every time.
The format follows the proven mix: private vendors sell vintage clothing, books, records, and household items, creative stalls present designer pieces, handmade fashion, and upcycled objects. The mix is broad, prices are negotiable, the atmosphere is relaxed – not a tourist market, but a real Hamburg flea market tradition.
While vinyl and vintage move across the tables, the street food trucks steam: pizza, burgers, African and Caribbean cuisine, fresh juices, coffee, vegetarian bowls. The vendors change, but the variety remains a hallmark of the market – those who come hungry leave full and with bargains.
The market is located in the Altona district, one of Hamburg's most dynamic neighbourhoods. Directly above it sits the Altona Balcony with its famous view, and behind the market, the stairs lead up to Altona Town Hall. Those leaving the market can round off the day with a walk across Övelgönne, a drink at the Strandperle, or a harbour tour towards the Fischmarkt.
On Saturday, June 6, 2026, the flea market at Cruise Center Altona will open its stalls from 2 PM. Over 200 vendors will sell vintage clothing, vinyl, books, furniture parts, and designer pieces. Street food trucks from around the world will serve pizza, burgers, African and Caribbean cuisine, fresh juices, and coffee.
The market is located directly on the pier below the Altona Balcony – ideal for an afternoon with harbour flair, sunset, and relaxed browsing through the stalls.
