“This evening is all about music” – with this claim, the MUSIKnacht Berching invites visitors to the historic old town every year in June. Berching is located in the Neumarkt district of Upper Palatinate in the state of Bavaria and is known for its completely preserved medieval townscape with city walls and towers. This backdrop makes the MUSIKnacht a special experience.

Many venues, many music styles

At around nine venues in the old town, inns, bars, and beer gardens offer a varied program. The spectrum ranges from Bavarian beer garden music to pop and acoustic rock to blues and DJ sets. This way, every musical taste finds its place, and visitors can move from venue to venue with free admission and discover the diversity.

Meeting point for the region

The MUSIKnacht is a sociable meeting point for locals and guests from the entire region around Neumarkt. Organized by the Berching Tourism Association, it combines live music, gastronomy, and the unique atmosphere of the historic old town for an atmospheric summer evening.

Berching as a stage

The fact that the entire old town becomes a stage is the hallmark of the event. Instead of a central main stage, the music is spread throughout the town – a concept that invites exploration and puts the inns and beer gardens of Berching in the spotlight.
