For its 75th anniversary, the Pfingstvolksfest Berching offers five days of festivities at Reichenauplatz from May 22nd to 26th, 2026. The large beer tent of the Härteis family, amusement rides, and stalls provide the setting for a dense program of music and customs.

75 Years of Pfingstvolksfest Berching

With the 2026 edition, the Pfingstvolksfest Berching celebrates its 75th anniversary. Since 1951, this traditional Volksfest has attracted thousands of visitors annually around Pentecost to the historic old town of Berching in the Neumarkt district of the Upper Palatinate. For the anniversary, the town is issuing its own commemorative beer mug.

Festival Grounds at Reichenauplatz

The festival grounds are located at Reichenauplatz, right next to Berching's historic town wall, which, with its towers and city gates, is one of the best-preserved medieval towns in Bavaria. In the large beer tent of Härteis Getränke Festzelte, the festival beer brewed especially for the Volksfest is served; alongside this, amusement rides from the Noli showman company, shooting galleries, traditional snack stalls, and sweet stalls are part of the festival area.

Five Days of Music and Customs

The 2026 music program spans five days: Stadtkapelle Berching for the opening, Gaudinudln on Saturday, Staufersbucher Blaskapelle on Pentecost Sunday, Tschamstera on Whit Monday, and the finale concert with BACHAMA BLECH on Tuesday. Additional bands will provide entertainment at the Härteis-Alm.
