Traditional music festival of the music association at the historic Alte Kelter
The Alte Kelter in Cleebronn is one of the most beautiful preserved pressing houses in the Württemberg wine-growing region. Built in the 18th century, it was used until the 20th century for pressing grapes from all Cleebronn vineyards. Today, it serves as an event hall and festival backdrop for music festivals, wine events, and private celebrations. With its massive stone architecture, wooden roof structure, and large interior space, it offers ideal protection in any weather — and at the same time the charm of a historic wine cellar.
The organizer is the Musikverein Cleebronn e.V. — a traditional brass band from the Stromberg region. With its annual music festival, the band shapes the social highlight of the Cleebronn summer. Club members, families, associations, and guests from the surrounding communities of Stromberg, Bönnigheim, Brackenheim, and Lauffen meet for two summer festival days.
Saturday, June 13th, 2026, is the main musical evening. After an opening concert by the Cleebronn music band, guest bands from the region and a live band will get everyone dancing. Refreshments are available at several stands with Swabian specialties and Württemberg wines.
Sunday, June 14th, 2026, begins with the Frühschoppen (morning pint) — brass music from the band and beer for breakfast. Lunch features a festive meal with roast beef, Spätzle, roast pork, or Maultaschen variations. The afternoon offers a family program with a children's concert, bouncy castle, face painting, and craft activities. Württemberg wine is the focus all day long — Trollinger, Lemberger, Schwarzriesling, Müller-Thurgau, and Riesling from the Cleebronn winegrowers' cooperative.
Cleebronn, with a good 3,000 inhabitants, is a municipality on the Stromberg in the Heilbronn district, in the heart of the Württembergisches Unterland wine region. Its location between Heilbronn, Ludwigsburg, and Bietigheim makes it easily accessible by transport. A visit to the Stromberg Nature Park, Cleeberg Castle (castle ruins above the town), and the numerous wine hiking trails through the vineyards is worthwhile.
The 2026 dates are confirmed by the Musikverein Cleebronn's event calendar. The festival runs Saturday evening and Sunday in the Alte Kelter and the adjacent festival grounds. In good weather, the festival area extends to the forecourt; in case of rain, everything takes place in the covered pressing house.
