Musifest Endorf – 60th District Music Festival

Double Anniversary in Bad Endorf

The Musifest 2026 in Bad Endorf combines two occasions: the 60th District Music Festival of the Upper Bavarian Music Association, Inn-Chiemgau district, and the 100th anniversary of the Bad Endorf Music Association. For six days, the spa town on the Simssee will transform into a center of Bavarian brass music.

Six Festival Days in the Festival Tent

The program is classically Upper Bavarian in structure, combining the district music festival with a Volksfest (popular festival) character:

• Wednesday, May 13th – Beer Tapping Ceremony as a festive opening (Doors open 6:00 PM, start 7:00 PM)
• Thursday, May 14th – Father's Day Festival for fathers and families from 10:00 AM with a vintage car meet, 10th anniversary of the Kindsbier-Musi, bouncy castle, and musical accompaniment
• Friday, May 15th – Beer and Wine Festival (Doors open 6:00 PM, start 7:00 PM)
• Sunday, May 17th – Festival Sunday: Association reception from 8:00 AM, festive church service, marching competition, and a grand parade with a mass choir of all participating bands, followed by festivities in the festival tent
• Monday, May 18th – Kesselfleischessen (pork stew) as a Bavarian festival finale (Doors open 5:30 PM, start 7:00 PM)

Inn-Chiemgau District as Organizer

The Upper Bavarian Music Association is one of Bavaria's largest brass music associations. Its Inn-Chiemgau district comprises numerous music associations from the districts of Rosenheim, Traunstein, Mühldorf am Inn, and Altötting. At the district music festival, the bands gather for the annual marching competition and march together through the festival town during the grand parade.

100 Years of the Bad Endorf Music Association

The Bad Endorf Music Association, founded in 1926, is the host and co-organizer. Its anniversary year lends special radiance to the 60th District Music Festival – the association has shaped the musical life of the spa town for a century.

Bad Endorf on the Simssee

Bad Endorf is located in the Rosenheim district in southern Bavaria, nestled between the Chiemsee and Simssee lakes, on the edge of the Upper Bavarian Alpine foothills. The state-recognized spa town with its iodine thermal tradition is the gateway to the Chiemgau region and is closely intertwined with the tourism of the area between the Inn and Chiemsee rivers.
