The Seefest of the Wasserwacht Prien is a traditional summer festival directly on the shores of the Chiemsee, at the Prienavera lido. Since 1983 – the year the new rescue station was inaugurated – the Förderverein der Wasserwacht Prien-Rimsting has organized the festival every year. In a festive atmosphere on the "Bavarian Sea", there is live music, delicacies, a children's program, and illuminated water shows when it gets dark on the lake. The proceeds benefit the voluntary work of the Wasserwacht. The Seefest combines a relaxed summer feeling on the Chiemsee with a commitment to water rescue – a popular meeting place for locals and guests.
