Wine and Electronic Music in the Baroque Palace Courtyard

When the 18th century meets the 21st century: Melodic Wine Ludwigsburg is one of the most original concepts of the South German festival summer. The organizers are the State Palaces and Gardens of Baden-Württemberg, who open the baroque courtyard of Ludwigsburg Residential Palace once a year for a mix of electronic music and regional wine enjoyment. In 2026, the event will take place on Saturday, June 6, 2026, from 4 PM to midnight.

Six DJs and Two Live Acts

The musical lineup for 2026 features six DJs and two live acts. Among those announced are Jasmin Blust, DJ BeOne, Kid Bull, Beat Kidz, and Sven Fields on the decks. Marie Sol on live saxophone and a second violin performance will provide the live acts — an elegant fusion of acoustic instruments and electronic programming that gives the festival its special sonic character.

Six Württemberg Wineries — The Wine Component

The gastronomic concept is based on six Württemberg wineries and cooperatives, who will be serving their best wines directly in the courtyard. Participants include the Schriesheim Winery Cooperative, Weingut Herzog von Württemberg, Weingut Hauer, Stairs n' Roses, Weingut Schloss Neuweier, and Weingärtner Marbach — a curated selection of renowned players in Württemberg viticulture. The offering is complemented by two cocktail bars.

Silent Disco from 9:30 PM

One of the festival's signature experiences is the Silent Disco starting at 9:30 PM. Via wireless headphones, you can listen to one of three selectable audio channels — each channel played by a different DJ. Those without headphones will experience the courtyard in a quiet atmosphere, with the typical visual impression of a dancing crowd without music in the open space. A modern production in a 300-year-old palace complex.

Food Trucks and Culinary Offerings

Food trucks in the courtyard offer culinary accompaniment — typically street food classics, vegetarian and vegan options, and small snacks to go with the wines. The concept is clearly a premium festival: no beer in a cardboard box, but top Württemberg wines and creative street food.

Ludwigsburg Residential Palace — Stage and World Heritage Scenery

Ludwigsburg Residential Palace is one of the largest preserved Baroque palaces in Germany. Built starting in 1704 under Duke Eberhard Ludwig of Württemberg, the complex comprises 452 rooms in 18 buildings — today, it houses several museums and serves as a venue. The courtyard is the central representation square in front of the main building — an extraordinary open-air stage that anchors Melodic Wine in a unique architectural atmosphere.
