Open-air concert on the historic slipway at Husum Harbour
Husum is the district town of Nordfriesland in the state of Schleswig-Holstein, known from Theodor Storm's "Der Schimmelreiter" and his poem "Die Stadt" ("Am grauen Strand, am grauen Meer" - "On the grey beach, by the grey sea"). With around 23,000 inhabitants, the town is located directly on the Wadden Sea and serves as a supply center for the North Frisian coast, as well as a gateway to the Halligen islands and the islands of Föhr and Amrum.
The historic slipway at Husum Harbour — the inclined ramp once used to haul ships ashore — is an unusual concert stage with a direct view of the harbour basin and the town hall. For the concert, the organizers transform the harbour into a summery festival site: beach sand is laid down, palm trees are erected, and food trucks and a beach bar cater to the audience. A mix of open-air concert and summer festival.
Max Giesinger is one of the defining voices of German-language pop music in recent years. With hits like "80 Millionen" and "Wenn sie tanzt," he fills halls and open-air venues between Berlin, Vienna, and Zurich. His "Glück auf den Straßen" tour in 2026 includes a stop in Husum — a concert realized jointly by Karsten Jahnke Konzertdirektion and CM Concert. The artist brings his band and performs songs from his current album and earlier works.
The Hafen Open Air Husum 2026 with Max Giesinger will take place on August 9, 2026. A summery festival site with beach sand, palm trees, food trucks, and a beach bar will be created on the slipway in front of Husum Town Hall. Admission from 5:00 PM, the concert starts at 8:00 PM. Max Giesinger will perform songs from his current tour and older albums, including hits like "80 Millionen" and "Wenn sie tanzt."
