Spring Festival with a Long Tradition
The Markus-Markt is one of the established events in the Schöllkrippen calendar, the main town of the Schöllkrippen administrative community in the Aschaffenburg district (Lower Franconia, Bavaria). Every spring, the festival transforms the town center around the town hall into a large market and festival area, attracting visitors from the entire Kahlgrund and Spessart regions.
Around 60 Exhibitors and Amusement Park
Approximately 60 exhibitors present a diverse range of goods and a family program. The market is complemented by an amusement park, a wide culinary selection, and information stands, for example, on renovation and energy. On Sunday with open shops (1 p.m. – 6 p.m.), local businesses also open their doors, expanding the offerings.
Three Days of Program in the Festival Tent
The heart of the social part is the festival tent. The market starts on Saturday with the traditional market opening, Sunday begins with an ecumenical service and Frühschoppen (morning pint), and Monday marks the cozy conclusion. Live music from regional bands accompanies all three days. Opening hours: Saturday 2 p.m. – 6 p.m., Sunday and Monday 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.
A Festival for the Whole Region
With its mix of craft market, family program, amusement park, and festival tent, the Markus-Markt is a typical Lower Franconian spring festival that makes the village community of the Kahlgrund tangible while also attracting a supra-regional audience.
