Wine and Fire Brigade on the Market Square
The Marktplatzweinfest of the Eibelstadt Volunteer Fire Brigade is one of two traditional wine festivals celebrated in the summer on the historic market square of the Franconian wine village of Eibelstadt. Eibelstadt is located on the Main river in the Würzburg district and is one of the classic wine-growing towns of the Maindreieck region.
Wines from Eibelstadt Vineyards
On offer are white and red wines as well as Secco from Eibelstadt vineyards — wines from the best vineyard sites around the village. The selection is complemented by a continuously open coffee bar and Franconian delicacies, including Flammkuchen as a culinary highlight.
Live Music on All Festival Days
Changing live music ensures a great atmosphere on the festival days — typically a rock band on Friday, a brass band on Saturday, and another band to conclude on Monday. The organizer is the Eibelstadt Volunteer Fire Brigade e.V., whose wine festival is a fixed date in the Franconian wine festival calendar.

The small town of Eibelstadt, with its medieval town center and characteristic town wall, provides the backdrop for the festival. Two wine festivals — in June and July — shape the summer on the historic market square.

The 2026 edition takes place from Friday to Monday (excluding Sunday), starting at 6:00 PM each day on the historic market square of Eibelstadt. Serving: wines and Secco from Eibelstadt vineyards, plus live music on all festival days.
Schedule
Friday: Rock band; Saturday: Brass band; Monday: Closing band. Continuous coffee bar and food offerings (incl. Flammkuchen).

Getting There
Eibelstadt is located on the Main river in the Würzburg district, accessible via the B13 road and by train (Würzburg–Ansbach line, nearby stop). The festival takes place centrally on the historic market square.
