Urban open-air festival on the former brewery site Revier Südost
The Revier Südost is one of Berlin's most exciting industrial monuments: the former brewery site of Berliner Bürgerbräu in Schöneweide, built in the 1880s, used as VEB Engelhardt-Brauerei after the GDR era, and increasingly left to decay since the 1990s. For several years, the site has been gradually opened up for temporary events — and MAGMA Festival is one of the first to fully utilize the grounds as an open-air festival location.
MAGMA's genre mix is unusual: House, Techno, and Bass meet Hyperpop, R&B, Indie, and Dance Punk. This is not a typical techno open-air (in the style of Sisyphos or Wilde Renate) nor a pop festival (in the style of Tempelhof Sounds), but a hybrid. The organizers describe it as "one of the most intense club open-airs of the summer" — referring to the atmosphere of a Berlin club, extended to a two-day open-air format.
The 2026 lineup is internationally ambitious: Yaeji (Korean-American House and Hyperpop artist, based in New York/Seoul), Joy Orbison (British Bass/Techno producer of the past 15 years), Erika de Casier (Danish-Portuguese R&B artist), Skin On Skin (Australian Techno producer), The Dare (NYC Dance-Punk staple), HiTech (Detroit Ghettotech), Deki Alem (Berlin Pop Underground), Headache (Berlin Bass producer), and others. A lottery allows for winning free weekend passes (1x2 tickets).
From August 8th to 9th, 2026, MAGMA will transform Revier Südost — a former brewery site in Oberschöneweide — into one of the most intense Berlin open-air festivals of the summer. Two stages will animate the industrial monument with an unusual genre mix: House, Techno, and Bass meet Hyperpop, R&B, Indie, and Dance Punk. 2026 headliners: Yaeji, Joy Orbison, and Erika de Casier — complemented by Skin On Skin (Australia), The Dare (NYC), HiTech (Detroit Ghettotech), Deki Alem (Berlin), and Headache (Berlin). Tickets €39.99–€69.99.
