About Luxoria

Luxoria is a new, two-day Berlin festival that puts artists over 50 centre stage — a generation whose voices, bodies, and stories are still rarely visible in cultural spaces. Over two days at the end of May, the festival will take over the ufaFabrik in Tempelhof with concerts (including Anne Haigis, Ellen Esser), literary-biographical formats (“Geht nicht – gibt's nicht” with Regina Ziegler, “Die Frau als Mensch” with Ulli Lust), dance, performance, and discussion rounds. The target audience is women 50+, but the festival aims to be intergenerational.

A New Platform for Women 50+

Luxoria — Subtitle “Women 50+ in the Spotlight” — is a new Berlin festival format that centres the visibility of female artists, authors, and performers over 50. The founders' diagnosis: In a cultural scene that seems to be getting younger and younger, women over 50 — and thus their creative output, their stories, their artistic substance — are systematically falling out of view. Luxoria aims to actively counteract this trend.

ufaFabrik as the Venue

The venue is the ufaFabrik Berlin at Viktoriastraße 10–18, Tempelhof-Schöneberg district (Tempelhof neighbourhood). This long-standing international cultural centre with theatre halls, a summer stage, and workshops offers the spatial conditions for an interdisciplinary festival: several stages running in parallel, classic concert halls, studio spaces for workshops and discussions. U-Bahn U6 to Ullsteinstraße, five minutes' walk.

Programme — Music, Literature, Performance, Discussion

The programme consciously combines different formats: concerts with singer-songwriters like Anne Haigis and Ellen Esser, literary-biographical discussion formats with film producer Regina Ziegler (“Geht nicht – gibt's nicht”) and comic artist Ulli Lust (“Die Frau als Mensch — Am Anfang der Geschichte”), discussion rounds on social issues, performances, dance, and readings. The audience: Women 50+, their daughters and sons, curious cultural enthusiasts of all generations. Tickets from €35 per day.

Luxoria — edition 2026

The premiere of Luxoria takes place on May 30 and 31, 2026, at the ufaFabrik Berlin. Two days of concerts, literature, dance, performance, discussions, and shared moments, dedicated to female artists over 50. Highlights: Concerts with Anne Haigis and Ellen Esser; discussion formats with film producer Regina Ziegler and comic artist Ulli Lust; discussion rounds on age, new beginnings, visibility, desire, and humour.
