One night, one ticket, over 30 museums in Bremen
The Long Night of Museums is one of the highlights in Bremen's cultural calendar. On a Saturday evening from 6 PM to midnight, the entire city transforms into a single large exhibition space: Over thirty museums and exhibition venues in Bremen's city center and in Bremen-Nord participate, from large institutions to small special collections. With just one ticket, you can get into everywhere – and travel for free on buses and trams from one venue to the next.
This is precisely what makes it so appealing: On no other night of the year can you switch between so many venues so easily. Those who wish can combine a major art museum with an unusual special collection, take a look behind the scenes on a backstage tour, and round off the evening with music or a performance.
The 2026 edition is under the motto of Bremen's themed year -Phenomenal-. Fittingly, the participating institutions entertainingly and sometimes surprisingly demonstrate how much knowledge about art, culture, and history their collections hold. Special guided tours, interactive stations, theatre, performances, and concerts are expected.
What's special about Bremen's Long Night is its spatial scope: it connects the museums in the city center with those in Bremen-Nord. A historic tram and a ship shuttle commute between Bremen and Vegesack, making the night itself a small adventure. Admission is free for young people under 18 years of age.
