Stadtfest (city festival) in Löhne's city center in the district of Herford – several stages, street theater, countrywomen's association, shopping Sunday
The Löhner Stadtfest is the central annual festival event in the East Westphalian city of Löhne. Organized by the City of Löhne in cooperation with the Werbegemeinschaft Löhne (business association), it transforms the weekend of the second half of September into a lively festival mile around the Werretalhalle and Bahnhofstraße. Three pillars support the concept: Music, Street Art, and Shopping.
The 2026 edition runs on Saturday, September 12th, and Sunday, September 13th, 2026. Opening hours:
On several stages along the city center, bands and solo artists from the region will perform:

The Landfrauen (countrywomen's association) from the Herford district traditionally run the cake stand with homemade cakes – a classic. In addition, you will find:
On Sunday, September 13th, from 1 PM to 6 PM, Löhne's shops will open additionally. Boutiques, cafés, bookstores, drugstores, and fashion stores participate. The combination of market browsing, stage concerts, and shopping makes Sunday a full city center day.
Löhne has around 40,000 inhabitants and is located in the district of Herford between Bielefeld and Minden. Known as the city of furniture and kitchens (manufacturers like Nolte and Häcker are based here) and as an important railway hub (routes Hannover–Cologne and Bielefeld–Hamburg cross here), the city is more rural than urban. The Stadtfest is an expression of a vibrant city center identity beyond its industrial image.
Löhne's most important summer city center highlight – two festival days around the Werretalhalle and Bahnhofstraße. Proven concept with music, street food, and Sunday shopping.
Free admission. Food, drinks, and market goods are paid for on-site. Sunday shopping: regular store prices.
