The Ostwestfalen Beer Festival with Fireworks Highlight

Bierboulevard in Flammen is one of the most important summer festivals in Ostwestfalen and the only major event that explicitly focuses on the theme of beer. 2026 marks the 18th edition – the festival will take place from July 24th to 26th, 2026 in the Aqua-Magica-Park between Bad Oeynhausen and Löhne.

Over 100 Beer Specialties

The promise sounds modest but is sensational for beer lovers: "Over 100 special beer varieties for connoisseurs and enthusiasts." Visitors can expect:

• German Craft Beers – small breweries from Münsterland, Ostwestfalen, Sauerland, and all of Germany
• International Beers – Belgian Trappist beers, British ales, Czech Pilsners, American IPAs, Danish craft beers
• Specialty Varieties – Sour beers, Stouts, Porters, Bocks, Smoked beers, Fruit beers
• International Bottled Beer Shop – Bottles for sale to take home

Illuminated Beer Gardens

A special feature that distinguishes the festival from classic beer festivals: illuminated beer gardens in the park grounds. As dusk falls, the individual areas are atmospherically illuminated – with warm islands of light, candlelight ambiance, and targeted spotlights. The Aqua-Magica park with its water features thus becomes an experiential festival backdrop.

Fireworks Display and Fire Show

The name "in Flammen" (in flames) is not without reason. The festival has two central pyrotechnic highlights:

• Fireworks Display – on Saturday evening, the visual highlight of the weekend
• Fire Show – performing artists with fire choreography between concert sets

Music Program — Schlager, Ü30, Live

• Schlager Night – a dedicated evening devoted to German Schlager music and Mallorca sound
• Ü30 Party – with classics from the 80s, 90s, and 2000s
• Live Music – Cover bands, Top 40 bands, sought-after open-air acts

Aqua-Magica-Park as Festival Grounds

The Aqua-Magica-Park is a park area between Bad Oeynhausen and Löhne – the former site of the 2000 State Garden Show. The park, with its water features, hills, clearings, and paths, is excellently suited as a festival ground: several stages can be set up separately, beer gardens are spread out, and viewing points for the fireworks are established.

BeBo Events

The organizer is BeBo Events – an Ostwestfalen-based event agency that organizes several large events in the Bad Oeynhausen area. 18 years of Bierboulevard are an indication of the format's viability.

Bad Oeynhausen — Spa Town on the Mittelland Canal

Bad Oeynhausen, with around 50,000 inhabitants, is a traditional spa town in the Minden-Lübbecke district, at the transition from the Wiehengebirge to the Weserbergland. The Aqua-Magica-Park is located on the western outskirts, directly on the border with the town of Löhne. Both towns benefit from the festival – touristically and gastronomically.
