2026 Edition — Three Days of Family Summer Kick-off
The 2026 festival falls on the first weekend of June and marks the kick-off of the «Great Lusatian Family Summer» — a regional tourism initiative. The three festival days offer a varied day program with stage concerts, hands-on activities, garden elements, and gastronomy. The program is family-friendly — no high-volume acts, no alcohol focus, but a relaxed weekend for parents with children, grandparents, teenagers, and singles.
Detailed schedule (concerts, workshops, garden dates) will be published by the City of Löbau in early June 2026 on loebau.de and in the Trade & Event Park newsletter.

Family Festival at the Gateway to Upper Lusatia
As early summer begins in Upper Lusatia, the Löbau Trade & Event Park opens its gates for «Löbau rings out and blossoms» — a three-day family festival that also serves as the kick-off for the «Great Lusatian Family Summer». Three days of live music, hands-on activities, gastronomy, and floral accents characterize the weekend. Unlike the major Upper Lusatian city festivals (Bautzen Spring, Saxon Spring), «Löbau rings out and blossoms» is deliberately family-oriented: children's programs, smaller concerts, quiet areas for relaxation.
Program in the Three Areas
The festival grounds are divided into three zones: Stage Area with concerts by regional and national acts (singer-songwriters, acoustic bands, children's musicians) — a varied day program from morning to evening. Hands-on Area for children with craft stations, games, movement courses, storytelling, and creative workshops. Gastronomy Area with regional foods (Lusatian Plinsen, linseed oil on quark, Bautzen mustard), beer from the nearby Bergquell Brewery, wines from the Saxon region, plus street food, ice cream, and crêpes for children.
180 Years of Bergquell Brewery Löbau — Accompanying Program
A nice coincidence: The Bergquell Brewery Löbau, one of the most traditional breweries in Upper Lusatia, is celebrating its 180th anniversary in 2026. While «Löbau rings out and blossoms» is taking place, the brewery is organizing its own festival days (May 29–30, 2026, at the brewery grounds as a prelude) — those who combine both events will experience an extended weekend full of Upper Lusatian atmosphere. During «Löbau rings out and blossoms», Bergquell beer will be served on the festival grounds, with special labels and anniversary brews.
Floral Accents — «and blossoms»
The second part of the festival name — «and blossoms» — refers to floral elements: flower markets, plant sales, gardening advice, workshops on gardening and nature conservation. Early summer is the time when the Lusatian heath landscape is in full bloom — many exhibitors will bring heather, lavender, regional wildflowers, and herbs.
Löbau and the Lusatian Hills
The town of Löbau, with around 14,500 inhabitants, is located in the Görlitz district, at the transition between the Upper Lusatian lowlands and the Lusatian highlands. It is known for the King Frederick Augustus Tower on Löbauer Berg (Europe's oldest cast-iron observation tower, 1854) and for its Bergquell Brewery. Those who wish to combine the festival with a weekend stay can climb Löbauer Berg — the ascent takes about 30 minutes, and the view over the Lusatian hills is a classic.
