The annual family festival of Berlin's rescue, security, and aid organizations on Landsberger Allee
The Lichtenberger Blaulichttag is one of the few Berlin themed festivals that consistently focuses on civil security and aid infrastructure each year. The organizer is the Lichtenberg District Office via the Commissioner for Disaster Protection; the venue has been the grounds at Landsberger Allee 300 in Lichtenberg for years.
All relevant rescue, security, and aid organizations with a connection to Berlin are invited:
The festival motto gets straight to the point: Know about self-protection, first aid, fire safety, and how to act in emergencies; Act in practical exercises and hands-on activities; Help as an invitation to civic engagement in aid services. The district office explicitly sees the day as promotion for volunteer work in rescue and security organizations.
Numerous stations are planned for children and families: Fire brigade's 'Little Firefighters' course, climbing on emergency vehicles, first aid exercises, crime scene investigation with the police, dog demonstrations, water rescue displays. Admission is free, snacks and drinks are available on site.
The Blaulichttag takes place on the district grounds at Landsberger Allee 300 in Lichtenberg — easily accessible by tram M5/M6 (stop Landsberger Allee/Rhinstraße). Past events were held on May 6, 2023, and June 28, 2025. The date varies slightly from year to year and is officially confirmed by the district office each spring.
The 2025 Blaulichttag took place on June 28, 2025, from 11 AM to 5 PM; the previous edition in 2023 was on May 6. The Lichtenberg District Office confirms the date of each year's event a few weeks in advance. For 2026, a Saturday in June, from 11 AM to 5 PM, is expected again at the established venue on Landsberger Allee 300.
Free admission. Food and drinks will be offered by aid organizations and local associations.
