LesArt – Franconian Literature Days Ansbach

From November 8 to 15, LesArt 2026 will celebrate the festival's 30th edition at Kunsthaus R3 in Ansbach. The organizer is the City of Ansbach in cooperation with Kulturforum Ansbach. The program includes author discussions, readings, and school readings focusing on high-quality contemporary literature. The detailed program with guest authors will be published in early October 2026. Reading times: Sundays 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., Monday to Saturday 8 p.m. – 10 p.m.

November 8–15, 2026 — Kunsthaus R3, Ansbach

• Integrated into the Franconian Literature Days together with Schwabach and Lauf an der Pegnitz

The complete program with the specific guest authors for the 30th edition will be published by Kulturforum Ansbach in early October 2026. Previous editions featured guests such as Herta Müller, Saša Stanišić, Jan Wagner, and Alex Capus. No names will be anticipated for 2026 until the program is officially released.

Getting There

Ansbach is located in Middle Franconia, easily accessible by train (Ansbach station on the Nuremberg–Stuttgart and Würzburg–Treuchtlingen lines) and via the A6/A7 motorways. Kunsthaus R3 is centrally located at Reitbahn 3.
