About Legends at the Sea

Legends at the Sea is the open-air concert series directly on Büsum's main beach, where prominent German pop stars perform against the spectacular backdrop of the Wadden Sea UNESCO World Heritage Site. On the specially constructed Watt Grandstand — a wooden structure right at the water's edge — you'll experience concerts where music and nature merge: the stage opens to the mudflats, the North Sea sky glows behind the artists, and the audience sits in a semicircle on the grandstand. In 2026, the event will bring Johannes Oerding to Büsum — one of Germany's most successful pop voices of recent years.

You can reach Büsum via the B5 by car in about 60 minutes from Heide. By train (RB66 from Heide) to Büsum station, then a 10-minute walk to the main beach.
