The Leck-Huus as a Venue
The Bürger- und Kulturhof Leck-Huus is a historic farm complex built in 1856 and completely renovated in 2005, located at Allee 32 in Leck. Today, it serves as a venue for community events and gatherings — readings with Rebekka Frank and Michael Kobr, concerts in the hayloft, cultural meetings, and the Lecker Landmarkt. The house is in the heart of Süder-Tondern and is one of North Frisia's defining cultural locations.
The 14th Edition on October 4, 2026
In 2026, the Lecker Landmarkt will take place in its established format:
- 14th Edition
- Saturday, October 4, 2026, 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM
- Organizers: Gemeindemarketing Leck, LandFrauen Leck, and Leck-Huus e.V.
- Exhibitor registration: via Gemeindemarketing Leck
The Landmarkt is a twice-yearly event — the spring edition typically takes place in May, and the autumn edition in October.
What You'll Find at the Market
The Landmarkt serves as a platform for regional producers and crafts — the selection focuses on authenticity and artisanal quality:
- Regional Producers — Farm cheese, honey, jams, sausages, game from the North Frisian forests
- Crafts — Ceramics, felt, jewellery, handmade prints, and wooden objects
- LandFrauen Participation — Homemade cakes, preserves, handmade goods
- Seasonal Specialties in October — autumnal preparations, apple varieties, pumpkin specialties
In the Heart of Süder-Tondern
Leck is located in the north of the Nordfriesland district in the state of Schleswig-Holstein — a few kilometres from the Danish border, in the historic Süder-Tondern. The rural environment provides the ideal backdrop for a Landmarkt: small farms in the geest and marshlands, tradition-conscious producer communities, and an engaged village public.
