Cultural programme in the historic Geesthardenhof from 1856
The Leck-Huus is one of the finest examples of how North German villages preserve their historical substance — and at the same time breathe new life into it. The Geesthardenhof, a thatched-roof farm complex at Allee 32, was built in 1856 and completely renovated in 2005. Today, it hosts concerts, readings, weddings, and private parties, operated by the non-profit association Leck-Huus e.V.
The year 2026 kicks off with an unusual programme. In May, RockTales (17.05.) and the reading "Spiegelland" by Rebekka Frank (28.05.) open the season. June follows with the reading "Glaub immer an das Unmögliche" (Always believe in the impossible) with Kirsten Nehberg (18.06.) and the concert by alternative rockers Nervling (27.06.). In September, Ruhmservice (04.09.) takes the stage, before Low German takes centre stage: Danz-Huus with Marc Grimmert (11.09.) and the Afro/World act Adjiri Odametey (18.09.) follow. Autumn brings French chanson with Sophie Chassée (02.10.) and the songwriting of Tokunbo (17.10.). The season concludes with the Christmas concert Farvenspeel (11.12.).
What distinguishes Leck-Huus from a classic concert hall is its atmosphere. The old beams, the historic stable room with its acoustics, the warm furnishings — everything contributes to an intimate, almost familial event ambiance. Concerts usually start at 7:00 PM or 8:00 PM, with the audience partly seated at tables, partly in rows of chairs. Reservations are accepted directly from the association via [email protected].
Leck is a municipality in the district of Nordfriesland on the border with Sønderjylland (Denmark). With just under 7,700 inhabitants, it is a focal point of the southern Schleswig Geest region, characterized by agricultural structures and an active Danish minority. Leck-Huus plays its part in ensuring that this rural region experiences a sophisticated cultural programme beyond the big city venues in Flensburg or Husum. The state of Schleswig-Holstein and the district of Nordfriesland honour the association as a model for volunteer-driven cultural engagement.
The 2026 programme season at Leck-Huus extends from May to December. With eleven publicly announced concerts and readings, the Leck-Huus community and cultural centre covers a broad stylistic spectrum — rock, Low German, chanson, world music. Events usually start at 7 PM or 8 PM.
Start times usually 7:00 PM or 8:00 PM. Tickets via leck-huus.de or [email protected].
