Strandbad Grünau – Berlin as a Mediterranean Stage

The Strandbad Grünau at Sportpromenade 9 is one of Berlin's oldest and most beautiful lidos – located on the Langen See in the Treptow-Köpenick district since 1907, with soft sandy beaches, an old lifeguard building, and a small forest right by the water. It is precisely this setting that the MEDUSA WHITE SENSATION Beach Festival uses to stage an Ibiza-inspired festival day in Berlin once in August. The concept is clear: white dress code for all guests, House and Tech House sets on two stages, Mediterranean cocktail bars, sand underfoot, and the lake in view.

Two Stages, Two Worlds

The Beachstage directly on the beach features House, Tech House, and Future House with acts like Glockenbach (Deep House from Bavaria), nowifi, Steve Norton, and DefJam. In the Waldarena – a second stage in the adjacent small forest – a harder program runs with Ultimo, Madzee, and Nana Sky. Switching between the two worlds is explicitly planned: those dancing to House on the beach can catch the Tech set in the Waldarena, and vice versa.

Dress Code Entirely White

The festival has a strict dress code: all white. Dresses, trousers, shirts, hats, shoes – everything in white. The concept originates from the Ibiza tradition of large "White Parties," established in Mediterranean clubs since the 1990s. Those arriving without white attire will be turned away at the entrance – this is a conscious part of the festival's branding. In the lido setting with the sunset over the lake and sand under the DJ booth, the effect is indeed remarkable.

Ages 18+, Ticket Includes Drink

The festival is clearly designed for ages 18 and up. Tickets cost €29.90 including a welcome drink (sales exclusively online via medusa-white.de or rausgegangen.de). On-site, there are several Ibiza-style cocktail bars, plus snacks and street food. Those arriving in the afternoon can use the lido as usual and transition into the festival day.
