Möhringen feiert

District Festival with a Clear Mission

"Möhringen feiert" is more than a normal district festival: The Möhringen Community Association Förderverein e.V., founded in 2018, explicitly aims to promote artistic and cultural coexistence among the three southern Stuttgart districts of Möhringen, Fasanenhof, and Sonnenberg. The festival first started in 2019 and has since established itself as an annual highlight of the summer calendar on the Fildern.

Oberdorfplatz — The Heart of Möhringen

The venue is Oberdorfplatz, the traditional center of Möhringen with its fountain, linden trees, and surrounding gastronomy. A stage is set up in the middle of the square, surrounded by stalls from the 13 participating clubs: music associations, sports clubs, church communities, social organizations, cultural initiatives. You will experience the full diversity of club life in this district over a weekend.

Stage, Bands, Children's Program, Fire Show

The stage program alternates between live bands, cover bands, and acoustic acts. During the day, the children's program dominates — bouncy castle, face painting, games, interactive activities, and occasional theater performances for the little ones. The highlight of the evenings is a fire show that bathes Oberdorfplatz in flickering light — a format not all district festivals have, giving "Möhringen feiert" its unique touch.

Möhringen, Fildern, and Stuttgart

Möhringen is located on the Fildern, the fertile high plateau south of Stuttgart. Characteristic features include the Spätzle tradition, Filderkraut cultivation areas (a regional UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage), and its proximity to Stuttgart Airport and the Stuttgart Trade Fair. Möhringen is directly accessible from Stuttgart city center via the U 3 subway line — making the festival easily accessible even for those unfamiliar with the district.
