City festival in a historic setting
For many years, the LechStadtFest has been one of the most popular events in the city of Landsberg am Lech in the district of the same name, in the state of Bavaria. The venue is the historic main square around the Marienbrunnen and the medieval alleys of the old town.
Music, culinary delights, and atmosphere
For a weekend, live music, culinary diversity, and the special flair of the old town combine to create a city festival that attracts locals and visitors alike. Landsberg's historic architecture – from the Schmalzturm to the town hall with its Rococo facade – forms a unique backdrop.
Expanded concept 2026
In 2026, the LechStadtFest will be significantly expanded: instead of concentrating on the main square, the festival will become a "culinary journey through the city." Four themed zones will represent Landsberg's partner cities – the main square will stand for Germany (Landsberg and Waldheim), Infanterieplatz for the USA (Hudson), Flößerplatz for France (Saint-Laurent-du-Var), and Georg-Hellmair-Platz for Italy (Rocca di Papa).
Regional and international cuisine
Gastronomy is the focus: the offerings range from traditional regional specialties to modern vegetarian and vegan dishes, with an emphasis on quality and fair prices. This makes the city festival a showcase of Landsberg's town twinning connections.
Landsberg am Lech – the Lech City
Landsberg am Lech is one of the most beautiful historic cities in Upper Bavaria. The LechStadtFest combines this identity with conviviality, making the weekend a highlight in the city's event calendar.
