Two-day rock, punk, and metal festival in the Pinneberg district
The Langeln Open Air — LOA for short — is one of those small North German festivals that originated not from a corporation, but from a village. Founded in 2010 as an association, the festival has firmly established itself in the scene between Hamburg, Pinneberg, and Schleswig-Holstein over the years. The municipality of Langeln is located in the Pinneberg district, north of Elmshorn — and thus a good 30 minutes north of Hamburg.
The 2026 lineup is deliberately broad — from heavy modern metal music to street punk and power pop punk to hardcore and trance-core. The 15 confirmed acts:
An important innovation: for the first time, camping will be offered directly on the festival grounds. Previously, guests had to stay in the region or sleep in their cars — from 2026, there will be an official campsite next to the stages, including sanitary infrastructure. Registration is done through the ticket system.
The organizer is Langeln Open Air e.V., a non-profit association with 20 full members and a broad base of helpers from the region. The festival is declared non-profit: surpluses flow into local cultural, youth, and music promotion. Thus, LOA consciously positions itself against the commercial festival chains — and attracts a loyal audience from the North German hardcore, punk, and metal scene.
Langeln has around 750 inhabitants and is part of the Hörnerkirchen office in the Pinneberg district, Schleswig-Holstein. For one weekend in July, the population doubles — festival guests travel from Hamburg, Bremen, Lübeck, and sometimes from all over North Germany.
With 15 bands on two stages, the 2026 lineup is one of the most packed in the festival's history. The order of performances and stage assignments will be published by the organizer in good time before the festival — short changeover times between sets are guaranteed by the two-stage setup.
Performance times of individual acts and stage assignments on langelnopenair.de. Camping quotas also bookable via the website.
