Kühlungsborn tanzt transforms the Baltic Sea resort into a large dance venue for one October weekend. Professionals from the RTL show »Let's Dance« offer over eighty workshops daily, followed by parties and a grand dance and show night in the Sporthalle West – the most important hobby dance festival on the North German Baltic coast.

Kühlungsborn tanzt 2026 will take place from October 1st to 3rd. Over eighty workshops, three evening events, and a show night with up to seven hundred dancers in the Sporthalle West are on the program.

From October 1st to 3rd, 2026, Kühlungsborn will once again transform into a dance destination. Appearing for the first time: »Let's Dance« judge Motsi Mabuse. The coaching team also includes Joachim Llambi, Ekaterina Leonova, and Paul Lorenz, Renata and Valentin Lusin, Patricija and Alexandru Ionel, Anastasia and Sergiu Maruster, Malika Dzumaev, Zsolt Sándor Cseke, as well as Nina Bezzubova and Evgeny Vinokurov. The event kicks off on October 1st with the Welcome Discofox Party at the A-ROSA Ostsee Hotel (from 8:00 PM). October 2nd features the Latin Salsa Night at the Campingpark. The highlight is the grand dance and show night on October 3rd in the Sporthalle West.

Dancing with the Stars of »Let's Dance«

Kühlungsborn tanzt is one of the largest hobby dance festivals in Northern Germany. For three days, several hundred participants dance in workshops, training sessions, and at large show parties – under the guidance of the most famous German dance professionals from the TV show »Let's Dance«.

Program

During the day, over eighty workshops are scheduled, divided into three levels (beginners with basic knowledge, advanced, competition dancers). In the evenings, there's a Welcome Discofox Party at the A-ROSA Ostsee Hotel, a Latin Salsa Night at the Campingpark, and the highlight is the grand dance and show night with up to seven hundred dancers in the Sporthalle West.

A Festival with Magnetic Appeal

Tickets and workshop places regularly sell out within hours. The festival has evolved from a regional dance meeting into an event with supra-regional appeal; a large proportion of participants travel from all over Germany and book the weekend with accommodation.

Local Context

Kühlungsborn is located in the Rostock district and, with over three kilometers of beach promenade, is the largest Baltic Sea resort in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. October is outside the summer season – Kühlungsborn tanzt noticeably extends the tourist season with the festival.
