Kuckucksfest Kleiningersheim

An Association Festival with Tradition Since 1930

The Musikverein Kleiningersheim e.V. was founded in 1930 and has since been the musical heart of the Kleiningersheim district of Ingersheim in the Ludwigsburg district (AGS 08118). The Kuckucksfest on the Corpus Christi weekend is, along with the Kirbe in October, the largest association festival of the year — and an occasion where the whole village comes together.

Schönblick Festival Grounds Above the Neckar

The Schönblick association clubhouse is located high above the Kleiningersheim district of Ingersheim with a view of the Neckar valley. The adjacent festival grounds are equipped with a marquee, outdoor seating, a stage, and catering stands for the Kuckucksfest. A location that makes the festival visually special — sunset over the vineyards on Thursday evening, dancing under the open sky on warm Corpus Christi days.

Program on Corpus Christi 2026

Opening on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, from 6 p.m. with the tapping of the first barrel and a performance by the house band. Thursday, June 4, 2026 (Corpus Christi, a public holiday in Baden-Württemberg), from 11 a.m. with a morning pint (Frühschoppen), lunch, afternoon coffee with cake from the association's bakery, and from the late afternoon, guest performances by friendly music associations from the region (regularly the Stadtkapelle Besigheim, brass bands from the Bottwartal and Weinsberger Tal).

Swabian-Württemberg Festival Culture

The catering offers the classics: roast pork, Maultaschen, grilled bratwurst, fries for the children, along with beer from the regional brewery and wine from the vineyards of Ingersheim, Kleiningersheim, and Hessigheim — the Bottwartal wine region extends right to the festival grounds. The cake selection by the association's ladies is legendary.

Ingersheim and the Neckar

Ingersheim, with its districts of Kleiningersheim and Großingersheim, is located on the Neckar river in the Ludwigsburg district, nestled in one of Württemberg's most traditional wine-growing regions. The Kuckucksfest is part of a dense festival calendar: Maibaumfest in Großingersheim, village festival at the beginning of July, Kirbe in October.
