Neighborhood festival on the Kaiserin-Augusta-Promenade along the Rhine with culture, gastronomy, and family program
The Augusta Fest is a neighborhood festival on the Kaiserin-Augusta-Promenade, one of Koblenz's most beautiful Rhine promenades. The promenade is named after Empress Augusta, who had the grounds along the Rhine landscaped in the 19th century and gave the city a distinctive character.
The Augusta Fest is a festive avenue: along the promenade, stands of volunteer associations, cultural initiatives, restaurateurs, and citizens' initiatives line up, representing the diverse life in Koblenz and the region. Cultural offerings, regional specialties, information about volunteer engagement, and activities for children are part of the classic repertoire. The festival is explicitly designed to be intergenerational and family-friendly.
Since 2005, the Augusta Fest has been celebrated annually on the first Sunday in June. It has become an institution that attracts not only Koblenz residents but also guests from surrounding districts, the Westerwald, and the Eifel. Today, the Augusta Fest is an integral part of the city of Koblenz's major wine festival, which runs from early May to mid-July.
The Kaiserin-Augusta-Promenade begins at Anlegen 9 and leads upstream along the Rhine to the Pfaffendorfer Bridge. The promenade is about a ten-minute walk from Koblenz Central Station.
The 2026 edition follows the proven concept of the neighborhood festival. Specific program details will be published in spring 2026 by Koblenz-Touristik. The structure follows the established cornerstones of previous years:
