Klassik Kallmünz

A New Festival for the Upper Palatinate

Klassik Kallmünz is a young festival in the Upper Palatinate market town of Kallmünz, located in the district of Regensburg at the confluence of the Vils and the Naab. The historic town center with its castle ruins and narrow alleys has always attracted artists and now forms the atmospheric setting for a high-quality classical program.

Two Special Venues

The festival uses two cultural venues in the market town: the KULTURSCHMIEDE and the KulturEck Kallmünz. Both venues combine historical ambiance with an atmosphere that emphasizes the closeness between musicians and audience, thus creating a special concert experience.

Diverse Program

The program for the premiere includes several concerts: the Trio Infernale with classical chamber music, an organ concert by organist Angela Metzger, and a matinee by the Kallmünz Choral Society. A relaxed conclusion will be provided by bar piano music with Stefanie Heelein, with free admission.

Embedded in the Region

The festival is supported by regional partners and integrates into the cultural life of the market town of Kallmünz and the Upper Palatinate. It complements the tourist offerings around the popular excursion destination on the Naab.

Tradition Under Construction

With its first edition in 2026, Klassik Kallmünz lays the foundation for a new festival tradition that aims to make classical music accessible in one of the most picturesque locations in the Upper Palatinate.
