Kißlegger Schloss- und Straßenfest

An Allgäu Festival with Tradition since 1977

The Kißlegger Schloss- und Straßenfest has always taken place on the first Saturday in July since 1977 – a firm fixture in the Allgäu festival calendar. Kißlegg is located in the Württemberg Allgäu in the district of Ravensburg, nestled between forests, lakes, and rolling hills – a state-recognized spa town with baroque charm.

The Festival Grounds — Schlossstraße to Schlosspark

The festival extends over several areas:

• Schlossstraße – approx. 1 km flea market mile starting at 7 a.m.
• Palace Park of the Neues Schloss Kißlegg – Children's flea market
• Festival grounds in the town center – stages, gastronomy, show demonstrations
• Zellersee – venue for the accompanying triathlon

Large Flea Market

The flea market is one of the hallmarks of the Kißlegger festival: hundreds of vendors set up their stalls along the Schlossstraße starting at 7 a.m. You can find almost everything, from classic bric-a-brac to antiques, clothing, toys, books, and collectibles. In the palace park, the children's flea market has its own area – children sell their own toys.

Triathlon and Show Demonstrations

A special feature is the Kißlegger Triathlon: swimming in the Zellersee, cycling race around Kißlegg, running course through the town – athletes from all over the Allgäu participate, spectators cheer them on along the routes. In addition, there are show demonstrations by local clubs, dance performances, and hands-on activities.

Gastronomy and Festival Evening

Throughout the day, the town center and the palace grounds transform into an open culinary landscape. Swabian-Allgäu specialties, sausage varieties, vegetarian and international cuisine are offered by the Kißlegg clubs and local restaurateurs. In the evening, several stages fill the town center with live music – the festival continues until late at night.

As the municipality of Kißlegg emphasizes: The festival takes place in all weather conditions – "albeit in a smaller form." This reliability is part of the fascination of the Kißlegger festival and a reason why it has been a firm fixture in the Württemberg Allgäu for almost 50 years.
