Wangen im Allgäu — Festival City on the Edge of the Alps

Wangen im Allgäu in the Ravensburg district (AGS 08436) is located at the transition from the Allgäu to the Upper Swabian hill country — a medium-sized town with a historic old town and a surprisingly vibrant music scene. In the district of Karsee, a small village a few kilometers outside Wangen, the Allgäus Finest Festival has been held since 2019 — one of the most important indie and pop-rap festivals in southern Baden-Württemberg. Date 2026: September 3rd to 5th.

Three Days of Festival with Over 20 Bands

The 2026 festival brings together over 20 acts on three stages — a deliberately curated selection from the German and international indie, pop-rap, and electronic scene. Highlights of the lineup:

• Von wegen Lisbeth — Berlin indie-pop phenomenon
• Querbeat — Pop-brass band from Cologne
• Avaion — young pop singer-songwriter, one of the TikTok stars 2024/25
• Milleniumkid — Hip-Hop / Trap from Düsseldorf
• Kaffkiez — Indie-Rock
• Raum27 — Indie-pop hope

Further acts: Majan, Anaïs, Jassin, Dolphin Love, Udo West, Sonos Cliq, Gringo Mayer, Paula Engels, Beslik, Bitschu Batschu, Nikra, Two Girls One Mom, Phake, Skuth, Shelly Coral, Lusterboden, Vandalisbin. Exact daily schedules will be released a few weeks before the festival.

Karsee — Small Village with a Large Festival Site

The festival grounds in Karsee are a small, well-organized area — deliberately not a mega-festival, but an intimate version: approx. 4,000 visitors per day, three stages, food trucks, on-site festival camping. The rural character of the village with its Allgäu meadows and forest landscape defines the atmosphere — not an anonymous industrial site, but a festival experience in the midst of Allgäu nature.

Festival Organizers: Allgäus Finest e.V.

The organizer is the non-profit association Allgäus Finest e.V. — a volunteer group of young Allgäu residents who have been organizing the festival since its first edition in 2019. The festival is financed by ticket sales, sponsoring, and the work of around 200 volunteers. Those who want to help with setup, bar, or camping can apply at allgaeusfinest.de — crew members get free festival access.

Tickets and Atmosphere

Weekend ticket 2026: 94.45 EUR — a deliberate pricing strategy below that of major festivals (Rock am Ring, Hurricane, Highfield). Day tickets and camping packages sold separately. Festival camping is included in the Weekend Ticket. Advance sales started at the beginning of 2026 via the official festival website. The atmosphere is familiar and alternative — many regular guests return every year.
