Three weeks of open-air festival with a floating stage on the Enz river
The centerpiece of ENZ live is the unique floating stage: 8 by 9 meters, 2.5 tons heavy, anchored in the middle of the Enz river in front of the Waisenhausplatz in Pforzheim's city center. Spectators sit on the riverbank on deck chairs, wooden platforms, and picnic blankets, while the stage seemingly floats on the water. Bands, DJs, and artists perform against this backdrop of river, city, and late summer light – one of the most original festival formats in Southern Germany.
ENZ live runs from July 8 to 26, 2026 – three weekends plus the weekdays Wednesday and Thursday. The program changes daily: After-work events start at 5 PM with cocktail bars and DJ sets, live bands in the evening, themed evenings (Spanish, Balkan, Italian), workshops (Salsa, Tango, Discofox), special events like the White Dinner, the ENZleuchten light installation, or pottery painting. A highlight is the final ENZleuchten night with elaborate lighting of the city center and the river section.
Pforzheim, the Gold City on the northern edge of the Black Forest and gateway to the Northern Black Forest, has invested heavily in the revitalization of its city center in recent years. ENZ live is part of this strategy: the festival aims to attract visitors to the city, make the Enz river visible as a lifeline, and position Pforzheim as a city of culture and experiences. The concept is working: guests now come from all over the Enzkreis district, from Karlsruhe, Stuttgart, and the Northern Black Forest.
Most ENZ live events are free of charge. Only special events like ENZleuchten require a ticket. Food trucks, bars, and stands on the Enz riverbank provide catering – from tapas on Spanish evening to cevapcici on Balkan evening. The combination of free admission, urban riverside location, and consistently varied program makes ENZ live one of the most exciting summer festivals in Baden-Württemberg.
The Gold City of Pforzheim will once again become an open-air playground on the Enz from July 8 to 26, 2026. On the floating stage, bands, DJs, comedy acts, and dance workshops will alternate. Evenings usually start with after-work events from 5 PM, with the main program from 8 PM.
Performance times: Wednesday to Sunday. Mondays and Tuesdays are rest days. The exact acts will be communicated via www.enzlive.de and Stadtmarketing Pforzheim.
