Autumn is Kirta Time

The Kirta Planegg is the traditional Kirchweih ("Kirta") of the municipality of Planegg in the Munich district, Bavaria. In autumn, traditionally on the third Sunday in October, Bahnhofstraße transforms into a lively festival mile with market stalls, culinary specialties, and music.

Customs and Traditional Costume Association

The customs are presented by the Trachtenverein D'Almarösler Planegg e.V. with folk dance and Schuhplattler. This ensures the Kirta remains firmly anchored in the Upper Bavarian costume and customs culture, conveying regional identity to locals and guests.

Sunday Shopping

A special feature of the Planegg Kirta is the Sunday shopping: on Kirta day, local shops are open, combining the market, customs, and shopping experience into an atmospheric autumn outing.

A Fixed Date in the Würmtal

Organizers are the Trachtenverein D'Almarösler Planegg and the municipality of Planegg. The Kirta is one of the traditional autumn festivals of the Würmtal and a popular meeting place for people from Planegg and neighboring communities.
