Club Festival at the Sports Field
The Kirmes Hofeld-Mauschbach is the annual village fair (Dorfkirmes) of Hofeld-Mauschbach, a district of Namborn in the St. Wendel district. It is organised not by the parish, but by the local football club SV Hofeld — a setup that is typical in the Saarland region: where the priest used to organise village festivals, the sports club has now taken over the tradition.
Three Days of Club Culture
The celebration takes place on the SV Hofeld sports field, usually from Friday to Sunday in the last third of June. Friday evening features the opening with a beer tapping ceremony, while Saturday and Sunday offer a day programme with morning pint (Frühschoppen), coffee and cake, and live music or a DJ in the evenings. A typical Saarland club fair with a clear family focus.
