The Allerweltskirchweih

The Kirchenpingartener Kerwa is celebrated as a so-called Allerweltskirchweih. This tradition, widespread in Old Bavaria, uniformly sets the Kirchweih on the third Sunday in October – regardless of the actual consecration day of the church. The municipality of Kirchenpingarten in the Upper Franconian district of Bayreuth preserves this custom to this day.

Autumn Traditional Festival

The Kerwa is one of the most important social events in the village's annual calendar. Kirchweihbier, hearty Franconian delicacies, and brass music shape the atmosphere. The festival thrives on convivial gatherings and the participation of local clubs and the village community.

Embedded in the Event Year

Kirchenpingarten maintains a fixed annual event calendar. In addition to the Allerweltskerwa on the third Sunday in October, this includes, among other things, theater performances in January, a sports festival on the first weekend in July, an MSC meeting, and the Gänskopfhüttenkirchweih on the second Sunday in October. The Allerweltskerwa forms an autumnal highlight.
