Children's and Community Festival Jagel

Summer Festival of the Settlers' Association

The Children's and Community Festival is organized annually by the Siedlergemeinschaft Jagel. The meeting point is the community center, which is transformed into a small festival ground for the afternoon—with beer benches, a barbecue, coffee and cake, an open meadow for children's games, and stations where local clubs and initiatives can present themselves.

Family Festival for All Generations

The program is intentionally accessible: games and craft activities for children, a small raffle, conversations with neighbors, perhaps a few songs or a performance by the kindergarten group. It's not a festival with headliners, but a classic community festival—and that's precisely what makes it identity-building for a small community like Jagel.

Jagel in the Schleswig-Flensburg District

Jagel is located directly south of Schleswig, in the district of Schleswig-Flensburg. The municipality is easily accessible via the A7 motorway (Schleswig/Jagel exit) and belongs to the dense village belt around the district town. With events like the Schützengildefest (Marksmen's Guild Festival) and the Sonnenwendfeuer (Midsummer Bonfire), the community festival forms the 'warm season' of the village community.
