A Stage on the Lake in the Shadow of the Staffelberg
The Seebühne Bad Staffelstein is located on the Adam-Riese-See in the spa park of the Upper Franconian spa town of Bad Staffelstein, Lichtenfels district, state of Bavaria. The stage and spectator area are situated on the lake shore, with the Staffelberg mountain and the Maintal valley landscape rising in the background, offering views of the pilgrimage church of Vierzehnheiligen and Kloster Banz. Initially launched as a small series in 2020, the Seebühne has become one of the most attractive open-air venues in Upper Franconia within just a few seasons.
Genre Diversity Under the Open Sky
The Seebühne's programming covers a wide spectrum: Schlager and pop (Münchener Freiheit, Fantasy, Nicole), tribute bands (Queen Break Free, Feel Collins, ABBA Night, CCReview), a cappella (Viva Voce), classical music (Tenor Galas, Best of Musicals), singer-songwriters (Pippo Pollina, Heinz Rudolf Kunze), and cabaret (Willy Astor, Urban Priol, Erwin Pelzig, Miss Allie). This appeals to an exceptionally broad audience – from families with older parents to younger pop tribute fans.
Atmosphere at the Adam-Riese-See
What sets the Seebühne apart from many other open-air stages is the combination of water, spa park, and panorama: as the sun sets behind the Staffelberg and the stage lights reflect on the lake, a very unique atmosphere is created, rarely found in the Upper Franconian concert scene. Well-developed catering provides food and drinks before and after the performances.
Local Organizers, Regional Cooperations
The organizer is the Town of Bad Staffelstein via the Kur & Tourismus Service, in cooperation with Bamberger Veranstaltungsservice (VS Bamberg) and Kartenkiosk Bamberg. Numerous evenings were already sold out in 2025, the sixth season. A program with around 20 acts is again announced for 2026.

2026 Season – 19 Concerts and Comedy Nights
From June to September 2026, the Seebühne Bad Staffelstein has 19 dates scheduled. The seventh season opens on June 11 with Münchener Freiheit. Highlights include a Best-of-Austropop evening (June 13), Willy Astor (June 14), the Italian a cappella quartet I Dolci Signori (June 26), Viva Voce (June 27), Heinz Rudolf Kunze (July 12), Pippo Pollina (August 6), KARAT (August 9), Miss Allie (August 8), as well as numerous tribute concerts. The season concludes with cabaret legend Erwin Pelzig on September 5.

Getting There
A 73, exit Bad Staffelstein. Approx. 15 minutes walk from Bad Staffelstein train station to the spa park. Parking around the spa park, supplemented by field parking for larger concerts.
